Central
United Methodist Women have two circles—Rebekah and Susanna Wesley that
typically meet on the second Tuesday of the month. The Rebekah
Circle meets at the Church in the Fellowship Hall at 10:00 a.m.
Susanna Wesley Circle meets in members’ homes for a pot-luck dinner.
We
maintain an active prayer calendar—we can’t all go to the mission
field, but we can support missionaries around the world through prayer,
sending birthday cards and reading brief description of their work.
“Living
the Heart of God” is the title of 2012-2013 Program Book. The
programs are informative and most likely we will be challenged to
respond to even some tough social issues.
Opportunities
to participate in the Reading Program. Explore a variety of book
that will help you become knowledgeable on current Christian
issues. The categories of the books are mission, social action,
nurturing for community, spiritual growth, and leadership development.
PURPOSE:
The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community
of women whose purpose is to know God, and to experience freedom as
whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative and
supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through
participation in the global ministries of the church.
Won’t you
come join us as we strive to make a difference in the lives of women,
children and youth. Check the newsletter or call the church
office for more information.
